Dr. Andrew I. Pupkin is originally from Santiago, Chile. At the age of 12, his family moved from South America to the United States. After growing up in North Carolina, Dr. Pupkin began his education at Duke University, graduated from University of Maryland, Baltimore County and completed Dental School at University of Maryland School of Dentistry in 1987. From there he advanced his education with a hospital residency at the Veteran’s Administration Medical Center, Baltimore. Dr. Pupkin opened his practice, Andrew I. Pupkin, DDS, PA in 1992, which worked to bring an innovative and comprehensive new approach to patient care.
Professional Affiliations & Certifications
Dr. Pupkin has extensive dental and medical training in order to provide patients with a unique and 1-to-1 approach to care. He offers routine general dentistry services, specialized implant work, oral reconstructions, Invisalign® and porcelain veneers, as well as other cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry treatments. In furthering his dental education, Dr. Pupkin has logged hundreds of continuing education hours in a variety of dental topics. Some of his most studied areas include cosmetic, reconstructive, and implant dentistry, as well as additional certifications in Invisalign. Dr. Pupkin is also a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, as well as the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. In his community, he is a member of the Owings Mills Study Club.
Outside of the Office
Outside of the office, Dr. Pupkin enjoys spending time with his wife Randi Alper Pupkin, who is a former attorney and the Founder and Executive Director of Art with a Heart, Inc., which works to bring the benefits of visual art classes to underprivileged populations. He also enjoys spending time with their children, Jessica, Ethan, and Isiah, traveling, hiking, playing guitar, seeing live music, and giving back to his community and to Owings Mills residents.
